On December 2, Paolo Colbertaldo (Politecnico di Milano) and Gian Luca Gigli (Chief Technology Officer – Arvedi AST) participated in the Umbria Hydrogen Days.
The event dedicated to hydrogen and its possible applications in the region was organised by Umbria Region, together with Sviluppumbria and the University of Perugia. The Day brought together institutions, businesses, universities, research centres and numerous national and European stakeholders involved in hydrogen development programmes.
The agenda was rich of talks and presentations on the state of the art of the supply chain, the main projects underway and the prospects for the use of hydrogen in industry, mobility and energy planning. A number of elements useful for the construction of a future regional Hydrogen Valley were also presented, such as the mapping of local players and possible collaborations between companies and research centres.
Paolo Colbertaldo presented the SYRIUS Project in the context of his presentation in the panel session “Hydrogen Use” and prepared a poster to raise the awareness on the projects, its objectives and impact. The POLIMI researcher also explained the importance of hydrogen to decarbonise the hard-to-abate sector when interviewed by Umbria TV.
SYRIUS was also mentioned by Gian Luca Gigli during the panel session “Hydrogen Storage and Distribution”.
